Water drinking test in glaucoma management: a review of the literature

Purpose: To describe the methods of performing water drinking test (WDT) and its applications in glaucoma management.
 Methods: This review is based on pertinent publications retrieved by a selective search PubMed, supplemented further articles chosen authors.
 Results: Intraocular pressure (IOP) changes throughout day. IOP peak has been identified as risk factor onset progression. WDT simple stress used many researchers to elicit peaks assessing response treatments.
 Conclusions: Studies have shown reproducibility promising results various pharmacological surgical treatments glaucoma. It an important tool management.
